Newborn Torso (Advanced) for X-Ray CT, US
The Advanced Newborn Torso phantom was developed in collaboration with the Sonographic Clinical Assessment of the Newborn Training Program at the University of Calgary. This phantom is an deal tool for Ultrasound-guided procedures, such as catheter insertion through the umbilical cord and bladder catheterization. It is constructed with realistic tissue-mimicking materials suitable for Ultrasound and X-Ray/CT imaging.
The design of this Advanced Newborn Torso phantom is based on an average newborn torso. It is made from realistic tissue-mimicking materials suitable for Ultrasound and X-Ray imaging. The phantom has a waterfillable umbilical cord and bladder, which can be both used for catheterization training under ultrasound guidance. The phantom was developed in collaboration with a group of physician experts from the Sonographic Clinical Assessment of the Newborn (SCAN) Training Program at the University of Calgary (Department of Pediatrics).
